All India Inter NIT Sports Meet 2025–26 for Athletics and Chess (Men & Women), held at NIT Jalandhar from 4th to 6th February, 2026.

We are pleased to share that all our teams performed exceptionally well in the tournament, achieving the following commendable results:

Women’s Teams

  • Chess: 3rd Place (Bronze)
  • Athletics : 3rd Place Overall (Bronze)

 Men’s Teams

  • Athletics : Overall Champion (Gold)
  • Chess: 2nd Place (Silver)

 In addition, the following players excelled in their respective individual categories:

  • In Women’s Athletics, Ms. Jeeva K V (Mechanical Engineering) secured two Silver medals in the 100 m and 4×100 m relay, and two Bronze medals in the 200 m and 4×400 m relay.
  • In Men’s Athletics, Mr. Akhil Banoth (Mechanical Engineering) secured three Gold medals in the 200 m, 400 m, and 4×100 m relay, and one Bronze medal in the 4×400 m relay.
  • Mr. Rohit V. (Ph.D., Physics) participated in the Hammer Throw event and threw an impressive 41.60 metres, winning the Gold medal. He was also crowned the “Most Powerful Man” of the All India Inter NIT Athletics Meet.
  • In Women’s Chess, Ms. Vinitha M. Rao (Mechanical Engineering), Captain of the Girls’ Chess Team, secured the Silver medal on the 3rd Board.
  • In Men’s Chess, Mr. Aaron Sanju Thomas (Artificial Intelligence) secured the Gold medal on the 1st Board, and Mr. Ekansh Goel (Information Technology) secured the Silver medal on the 2nd Board.
