Call for book chapter "Advanced Treatment Technologies for Fluoride Removal in Water":

Fluoride contamination is affecting the quality of water resources worldwide because of human activities, such as mining and pesticide use. Due to the high risk of fluoride exposure, specific water treatment processes are required to meet more severe water quality standards. A better understanding of currently available processes is necessary to develop economical, efficient, and effective methods for fluoride removal.  We are therefore working on an edited monograph, "Advanced Treatment Technologies for Fluoride Removal in Water, for publication by Springer. The monograph aims at presenting an overview of the techniques available today for the removal of fluoride contamination/pollutants/species from water; and will cover traditionally applied and advanced techniques for the removal of fluoride pollutants/species, including oxidation, coagulation-flocculation, and membrane techniques. Tentatively, the monograph will be composed of four parts: (1) fluoride status and remediation strategies; (2) fluoride removal treatments; (3) fluoride effect on human health; and (4) status, management, government policy, and environmental regulating bodies. A tentative outline of the proposed monograph is given in the attached flyer.

Given your expertise and well-known contribution in the fluoride area, we are delighted to invite you to contribute a chapter. We believe your contribution will significantly enhance the quality of the monograph. You are welcome to collaborate with anybody you deem appropriate. In order to stay on schedule, we would appreciate receiving an abstract by December 31, 2022, and the full-length paper by March 31, 2023.
